Making Sure Your Plan Actually Reflects Your Life
I practice estate planning throughout Los Angeles County, including Glendale, and one thing I see often is a plan that was solid the day it was signed but hasn't kept up with everything that's happened since. My work is making sure that gap never opens up in the first place, whether you're starting a plan for the first time or making sure one you already have still holds up.
I meet with clients both in person and virtually, and every relationship starts with a free consultation.
I Just Moved, Does My Estate Plan Need to Change?
It's one of the most overlooked estate planning questions, and one of the most important. When you move, buy a new property, or open a new account, your existing will or trust doesn't automatically update itself to reflect it. Assets that aren't properly retitled can end up outside your plan entirely, which defeats the purpose of having one.
This is especially relevant for clients relocating into or within Los Angeles County, where property and local filing requirements can differ from where a plan was originally created. I review your full asset picture whenever your situation changes and help you determine exactly what needs to be added, changed, or retitled.

Is My Trust Actually Funded Correctly?
A living trust only works if your assets are actually placed into it, a step people often assume happens automatically the moment the paperwork is signed. It doesn't. I regularly review trusts, including ones drafted by other attorneys, to confirm that property, accounts, and other assets are properly titled and funded, not just documented on paper.
An unfunded or partially funded trust can leave a family facing the exact probate process the trust was created to avoid. If it's been more than a few years since yours was set up, it's worth having it checked.
What Happens During a Trust and Asset Review
When you come in for a review, whether because you've moved, acquired new property, or just want a second look at an existing trust, we start by going through everything you own and comparing it against what your current plan actually covers.
From there, I'll tell you plainly what's properly funded, what's missing, and what needs to be retitled or added. If updates are needed, I handle the paperwork and walk you through each change before anything is finalized, so you always know exactly what's different and why.
